Admissions Requirements

Master of Jewish Education (MJEd)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate study

Master of Arts in Jewish Studies (on campus through Rabbinical School)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate study
  • Two letters of recommendation (electronic or )
  • Two essays
  • Hebrew proficiency test
  • Interview

Fellowships, Scholarships, and Other Aid

Midcareer Fellowships

are available for some MJEd and MAJS students. Fellows receive a one-third merit fellowship, and may be eligible to receive additional need-based aid from 鲸鱼传媒.聽Fellowship eligibility includes:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree at least five years prior to beginning study at 鲸鱼传媒.
  • Prior work for at least three years as a professional serving the Jewish community, and continued work in such a position for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Availability to enroll for at least 12 credits per year.
  • Working 15 hrs./week as a professional in the Jewish community

Application Deadlines

We will review applications for Fall 2023 enrollment beginning on July 15, 2023. Extensions are granted on a case-by-case basis, though financial aid awards may be more limited for late applications.
