Tamid Adult Learning Program and Relationship Director
Tamid of 鲸鱼传媒: Your home for Adult Learning has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Program and Relationship Director.
The Tamid of 鲸鱼传媒 Program and Relationship Director (PRD) works in collaboration with the other members of the Tamid team to co-create learning experiences that meet the diverse interests and needs of adult learners seeking opportunities for growth at all levels. The PRD cultivates and manages partnerships with organizations whose vision and mission are aligned with 鲸鱼传媒 and who are interested in expanding adult learning opportunities. In addition, the PRD collaborates with faculty to arrange compelling courses, support recruitment, and develop a marketing plan.
The ideal candidate is excited to be part of a team that strives to innovate and imagine what 鈥渃ould be鈥 in the field of adult learning and who pays attention to details, ensuring that logistics are successfully managed.
The PRD reports to the Director of Tamid and works closely with the Tamid team and across other 鲸鱼传媒 departments including the marketing department and the business office. This hybrid position is 18 hours a week with an in-person component at 鲸鱼传媒 in Newton on Wednesdays. This position pays $30,000 and is year-round.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate as a valued member of the Tamid team, contributing to a positive work environment and working closely with and supporting other PRD
- Promote and develop Tamid offerings throughout greater Boston by:
- Meeting with current and potential sites
- Recruiting and vetting faculty
- Engaging in community needs assessments, and matching sites with relevant course topics and instructors
- Collect and evaluate potential classes and program proposals from new and existing faculty.
- Advise site liaisons on selection of faculty, class type and topic, and provide them with support for marketing and course administration.
- Communicate regularly with faculty and site liaisons.
- Oversee, track and communicate core aspects of course planning and administration.
- Input data to 鲸鱼传媒鈥檚 learning management and registration systems.
- Provide support (including tech support) for 鲸鱼传媒鈥檚 learning management systems.
- Recruit students via one-on-one conversations and targeted emails and hosting information sessions.
- Collaborate with members of the Tamid Team to plan for our annual Celebration of Adult Learning including Me鈥檃h Classic annual graduation.
- Provide program updates to senior 鲸鱼传媒 leadership and funders/grantors as needed.
- Attend community engagements and represent Tamid of 鲸鱼传媒 in the Greater Boston community.
- Work with Director of Tamid to review budget planning materials during annual budgeting process.
- Monitor and manage the disbursal of scholarships on an on-going basis.
- Knowledge of and connections within the Boston Jewish Community is a bonus

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex tasks
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially across all levels of the organization, and pleasant demeanor
- Flexible work style with the ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as within a team environment

Miller Center Administrative Assistant (PT)
Join the vibrant and impactful team at the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Interreligious Learning & Leadership of 鲸鱼传媒! Established in 2016, the Miller Center is dedicated to equipping current and future religious and ethical leaders with the crucial knowledge and skills needed to thrive and serve effectively in today’s religiously diverse society. We foster learning and collaboration among a wide range of individuals, including clergy, academics, communal leaders, and students from high school through postgraduate and seminary programs.
Currently the Miller Center has a position available for a part-time (20 hours per week) Administrative Assistant. This hybrid role pays $26,000 and reports to the Director of the Miller Center.
The job includes:
Scheduling & Director Support:
- Proactively manage the Director’s calendar, including scheduling appointments and ensuring it remains up-to-date.
- Provide timely follow-up for scheduled appointments, including sending reminders and Zoom links as needed.
- Make all of the Director鈥檚 travel and accommodation arrangements
- Support Director in completing contracts for his internal and external teaching engagements.
Team Support:
- Distribute the weekly staff meeting agenda
- Attend weekly staff meetings, manage hybrid meeting technology setup
- Prepare and distribute a clear and concise summary of action items following each staff meeting.
- Maintain the organization and upkeep of electronic files on the Miller Shared Drive and the Miller Center Secure drive.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to draft hiring letters for new employees and annual consulting letters, including obtaining all necessary approvals and signatures.
Development Support:
- Attend bi-weekly Miller Center development meetings.
- Provide administrative support to the Director in fundraising follow-up activities.
- Review monthly Gifts Reports to assist the Director in tracking fundraising progress.
- Prepare and provide materials as requested by the Director and the HC Grant Manager for grant submissions.
Business Office & Budget Support:
- Process all Miller Center check requests, purchase orders (POs), and credit card charges, ensuring accurate paperwork, obtaining necessary approvals, and submitting them to the business office.
- Oversee the timely payment of stipends, honoraria, and monthly consultant invoices
- Manage the submission of contracts for the approval of program retreat spaces.
- Serve as a point of contact for communication with the development and business office regarding the appropriate coding of incoming gifts and grants.
Other Responsibilities:
- Manage communications related to the Miller Advisory Council, including sending meeting notifications (with agendas), special notices, and invitations on behalf of the Director and the college.
- Perform other administrative duties and provide support as needed to ensure the smooth running of the Miller Center.

Job Summary: Roles and Responsibilities
The Director of Field Experiences will partner with the MaTaRoT team to oversee MJEd field experiences, advise MJEd students, teach MJEd courses, and support and grow the MJEd and Graduate Certificate programs. The candidate will also contribute to strengthening other MaTaRoT offerings. This person will complement and collaborate with our team, made up of the 鲸鱼传媒 Vice President, the Senior Advisor of the MJEd Program, the Director of Educational Initiatives, the Director of Bonim Beyachad, and the Executive Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team.
Director of Field Experiences
- Design and execute field experience courses including traditional and innovative approaches
- Partner with students to assess needs and design academically robust field experiences
- Facilitate monthly field experience cohort meetings
- Guide and provide resources to field experience mentors
- Oversee the development and implementation of learning contracts
- Provide ongoing communication with students and mentors
- Create and maintain handbook, contracts, evaluations, and all collateral material for the implementation of the program
MJEd Student Advisor
- Advise students on coursework, professional pathways, personal growth, learning needs, and application to practice
- Provide thesis advising for one MJEd student participating in the Graduate Research Seminar
- Support the work of the MJEd program generally including recruitment and enrollment
- Partner with Student Service as needed
Instruction
Teach up to two MJEd/Graduate Certificate 7-8 week modules on Schoology, 鲸鱼传媒鈥檚 online platform.
Marketing and Recruitment
- Partner with the Marketing and MaTaRoT Teams to advertise, recruit, and promote potential MJEd, Graduate Certificate, and Professional Development students
- Take the lead on communication with MJEd, Graduate Certificate, and Professional Development inquiries and recruits
Administration
- Maintain organizational systems including SharePoint documents.
- Attend weekly meetings with supervisor, weekly team meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- Table at conferences or other gatherings as needed.
- Other duties/tasks as assigned.
